It’s hard to tire of Manchester Art Gallery; the building, the exhibitions and the views are all worth multiple visits. I spent 10 minutes in there this lunchtime and learnt:
- The Antony Gormley ‘Filter’ sculpture has a heart.
- There is great view of the Town Hall and St Peter’s Square from the corner of the Lowry room on the 1st floor.
- You can spot the tram cables in Valette’s Albert Square.
Ok, I’m hardly cracking the Da Vinci Code, but it is wonderful thing to have such an interesting (free) resource on your doorstep.
