Can anyone explain the large number (I’m guessing 80) of grey-suited Chinese men (and perhaps three women) waiting at a bus stop on Upper Chorlton Road yesterday morning, around 8am? Up near the Shiri Guru Gobind Singh Gurdwara Sikh Temple, opposite the Tesco Metro. Yes, they were waiting for a bus, but who are they are where are they going?
I’ve seen this type of Chinese flash-mob before; a couple of weeks ago on Withington Road, around 9am, catching a bus into town. I’m thinking conference delegates/mature students/business visitors, but why the need for public transport, couldn’t they hire a couple of coaches?
