Old pics, forgot I had them. From Avebury, a National Trust property in Wiltshire, in early Spring. Stone circles, Neolithic burial chambers, a restored manor house, Bronze Age ‘barrows’…they’ve even got a Henge! A lovely part of England.
Top of Lark Lane, Liverpool. Saw lap 1, lap 2 and, following lunch at Elif and an ice cream from Archers, lap 8. Ace day.
This idea I like. To commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Peterloo massacre (and the journey towards universal suffrage), change the name of Manchester Piccadilly to Manchester Peterloo. If the people of Manchester want it, it should happen.
Link to the Manchester City Council e-petition (for what it’s worth) here.
I’m not in the market for a new bike, I’d never considered getting an electric bike, but if I was and I did (and I’m coming round to the idea), then it would be a Vanmoof. From Amsterdam, naturally.
Interviewed one of the directors last week and I love their style, build and vision. Bikes with integrated locks, built in Philips’ lighting, and GPS. Traceable if nicked, and feeding data back for use in a smart city.
